The School of Psychology at the University of NSW are currently running a project called Like Father Like Son: Fathers Against Violence and Aggression. The project, funded by the Movember Foundation, aims to bring together a national collaboration of health researchers, clinicians, policy leaders and consumer groups to improve the rates of father participation in parenting programs. We are hoping to promote Australia’s first national online survey which will give fathers the opportunity to have their say about parenting programs. The findings will be used to develop a national and free online parenting program that meets the specific needs of fathers. We are also running focus groups for fathers which are currently being held at the University of New South Wales.
