Biography
Relationships Australia works in a variety of ways to support respectful relationships across Australia.
Access Family Mediation Service offers online family dispute resolution, parenting supports, counselling and referrals to people across NSW . This service is available as an additional support to families in areas where there may be a long waitlist for services, or where service provision is scarce, or where parents are separated across wide distances. The service hopes to support families living in rural and remote regions, First Nations, and CALD families, LGBTIQ+ families, and families living with or caring for family members living with disability. We are aware that issues of access due to distance, disability, language or concerns regarding cultural sensitivity and understanding can make it more challenging for some separating parents to seek mediation support. The Access Family Mediation Service aims to provide to support these families.

A flexible approach to family mediation with online and telephone support to most areas within NSW.
Services are available via phone and video conferencing so clients can access us from their homes without any need to travel. Our mediators are highly experienced. Services are means-tested and subsidised, making them very affordable, and at present appointment wait times are short.

We can also help with interpreters, carers and advocates to assist our clients and can provide legally assisted mediation, if appropriate.
