Biography
 There are many ways in which I help dads and families, including offering emotional support, helping with communication and combating loneliness and isolation by being available in-person during counselling sessions, on the phone or via Zoom. Counselling can help to put dads back on track. Counselling has been shown to help address issues such as anxiety, depression, grief as a result of separation and divorce, redundancy, life purpose, money worries, relationships and work-life balance.
Counselling can also help first-time dads too.It is often assumed that having a baby and suddenly becoming a father is the most natural thing in the world. But this is an area that many new dads struggle with – I know I did at first. Often new dads can feel more isolated than mums who, through antenatal and baby and toddler groups, are busy networking, sharing their difficulties and learning from each other. Men on the other hand are often not natural group joiners, struggle to ask for help and a sense of pride or fear can keep them feeling separate.Added to that, dads can feel completely out of their depth with a baby or toddler and are often unable to draw on good role models.
