Animals in Wartime: A Family Tour
“Amazing and emotional, a great experience for the kids.”
Come and learn about animal service and mascots of both the Anzac and Allied forces. Join Shrine Volunteers for a highlights tour of the Galleries of Remembrance with artefacts that tell the stories of the beautiful war horses of the First World War, the airmen’s cute and furry mascots of the Second World War and brave Australian dogs in action through all conflicts and peacekeeping missions.

Suitable for families with children aged 6-12

Dates: 21 September -2 October
Time: 10.15am and 1.15pm daily (45 minutes)
Cost: Gold coin donation appreciated

Meet: Man and Donkey Memorial outside the Visitor Centre Entry.
In the event of poor weather, the tour will depart from the Shrine shop inside the Visitor Centre.
