Backyard Cinema returns to the picturesque parklands of Gasworks this summer

The ever popular Gasworks Backyard Cinema returns to the picturesque parklands of Gasworks Arts Park in 2014 for its biggest outdoor cinema season yet.

Held every Thursday and Friday at dusk from 16 January – 21 February and situated in the heart of Albert Park, Gasworks Backyard Cinema will screen an assortment of films during summer, spanning outstanding contemporary releases through to cult classics dug up from the Gasworks vault.

With Gasworks Backyard Cinema situated a stones throw from St Kilda Beach, this dog and bike friendly, BYO event is a sublime setting for outdoor cinema screenings during starry summer nights. For $60 full and $48 concession, audiences are able to purchase a gold pass cinema subscription – providing access to each of the Backyard Cinema films on offer throughout the season. Additionally, all cyclists are offered discounted ticket prices, so patrons are encouraged to cycle to each screening and receive concession rates.

In a new initiative, a weekly giveaway will be drawn prior to each screening. Guests should visit the Gasworks website each week to view the competitions for each screening.
